This is the front cover to STUDENT magazine's debut issue, with large fonts and bright colours it stands out and shouts to the reader.
Starting at the bold capitalized masthead accompanied by a meek little subtitle, this cover aims to impress with masses of text in varying fonts plastered throughout the page.
The cover itself is a medium close up of a young woman wearing summertime clothing including a bandana and sunglasses.
As a St Patricks Day special, green is a prominent colour standing out against the simple dark red gradient that fills in the background, a spotlight effect highlights the model's head.

The use of many article previews with just as many font variations make for a professional appearance, the masthead is bold and striking, and the colours basic yet bright. Every element draws attention much in the style of a commercial magazine: the colour scheme is cheerful using a background spotlight to attract further attention, numerous fonts each distinct and individual.
The layout keeps most text to the right but all is centered around the model's head who is wearing distinctive black sunglasses put into further evidence by her hands holding the glasses directing the reader's attention towards her face who's eyes while unseen are still kept in contact with the reader, finally the spotlight complements this overall effect.

The cover is centralized around its eye catcher, the model, using many effects to draw in attention, from there the reader can see the bold title and then the eyes roam about the various article shorts with personal taste attracting him/her to certain fonts and thus articles.
